Attorney Clifford Bernard Malone, Jr. is a retired lawyer who operated a private law office in Walnut Creek, California, having started in 1975. He focused on litigation on behalf of clients in a variety of areas, including personal injury, criminal defense, family law, contracts, incorporation and wills and trusts. Clifford Bernard Malone, Jr. also provided representation in construction, business and real estate matters, and in so doing has won the notable published case of Malone v. Western Conf. of Teamsters Pension Trust as well as several jury verdicts in excess of a million dollars.

Over the course of his career as a litigator, he has conducted over 400 trials, including many arbitrations and 49 jury trials to verdict

He has distinguished himself as a leader in the regional construction industry through his past service on the board of directors of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Northern California Chapter. Similarly, he has been active in real estate matters, maintaining a board seat with the Contra Costa County Apartment Owner’s Association and as a member of the Contra Costa County Association of Realtors, as well as the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA).

As a construction attorney, he represented general contractors, subcontractors, equipment suppliers, material suppliers, architects and engineers.

Clifford Bernard Malone, Jr. holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara. His academic background also includes completing the Hastings Litigation Advocacy Program, a comprehensive legal program sponsored by the Hastings Center for Trial and Appellate Advocacy.

During the Vietnam Era, he served in the U.S. Army and received his honorable discharge from the Army Reserve.
